Yeah, another 'duh' thang video, describing the shadowy system pervading what you might call your 'world', or perhaps your 'reality'. The thing is, as I have oft repeated, that you can take most nearly everything you think you know, or think you believe, and discard it as the rantings [or desire] of a fantastical imagination; nothing is as it SEEMS! 'Pre-Trib' Nuke: The Dangers of a False Doctrine

The Falling Away and the Pre-tribulation Rapture (Doctrine) Effects

Thusfar, my videos have exposited upon the etiology, or the setting, or prerequisites which set up our belief systems for further deceptions, and, as an initial ‘falling away’ of God’s people. From the establishment of the Protestant movement to the founding of the USA as a two-horned lamb, based upon the principles of religious and civil freedoms dominated by neither crowns of a Pope (state-mandated religion and laws) nor by an authoritarian, or unelected, king (rule by authoritarian fiat). Although the emphasis is and was related to America, the same principles may be [loosely] applied to much of the rest of the ‘civilized’, Western world. However, with the exception of the USA, most, if not all of the world has, or still is, influenced by subjugation, monarchical rule, or outright dictatorship—making America unique among nations, at least, up until the present. The ‘second Beast’ who will promote the first Beast, and set up his image, and enforce the worship of the first beast and its image will be a two-horned lamb (no crowns) who begins to speak as a dragon; this is fairly predictive of the evolution of our country and its governing bodies, across the recent past. What started as a God-fearing, morality-driven, protestant country [and government] has grown over time to be a God-hating, immoral, and now even persecuting, atheistic abomination. Furthermore, all the God-given rights and liberties we valued and supported in the past have been stripped away. Right now, they claim them all as privileges given permission. This is the real evolution we should be watching now.

The advent and rise of science, and scientific thought and methods, and the various ungodly beliefs which are promulgated through it, have led to a rationalization by Man which removes both God, and faith, from consideration. For example, see my videos on falling away, and/or relating the so-called science of evolution. In this, Satan has been highly effective in his deceptions, snaring and entrapping the majority of people into his anti-God propaganda campaign. The erosion of the family, and sociocultural moralities and mores, also via propaganda and conditioning methods, of his minions and cohort of NGO organizations, think tanks, via constant media (which ‘they’ own & control) dissemination, has also lead to the decimation of morality, as well. Taking God out of the public mind has led to such abominations as the feminist movement, the advent of the welfare state and enslavements, and the murder of the unborn, through state-supported abortion. 

The former movements, like UN Agenda 21, excel at trapping women and minorities into their belief systems and make them depend upon same—replacing God, and men, and family [ see my videos and links].  The promotion and acceptance, especially by the state, for birth control and abortions nets a  result that we now reside in a country, or a population of trained and controlled atheists, satanists, new-agers, and puke-warm ‘Christians’ who sacrifice their own children to Satan. Over 53 million condemnations have resulted from that permissive and immoral law alone. Think about it. Will God accept the murders into his kingdom? Certainly not the unrepentant, nor those who feel it a ‘right’ of theirs, and, technically, that they had not done ‘wrong’ or had sinned. This obvious condemnation, or even stating it as such is now thought to be like ‘hate speech’—it is soon to be outlawed, as street preaching is now being condemned. Wait until the ecumenicalist ‘unity’ , or one-world religion starts in on the evangelicals and the Christians—God’s true Church—we will be labeled as haters and they will persecute us, vehemently.

God’s church has already experienced a falling away, in my opinion, as I have suggested in other videos (see links/my YouTube page). However, what I have exposited upon in past may in fact not be the GREAT falling away; it may be merely a preamble, or the setting stages of an even greater and more visible apostasy.

This is what I will be delving into more thoroughly, in the present video. Specifically, the effects of the doctrine of devils and of the false prophets, the televangelists, who continue to deceive and lead astray the peoples of the Church. (*The* Church, not any denomination, etc). In particular, I am concerned with the false doctrine of the so-called ‘pre-trib’ rapture (PTR). 

The PTR is especially harmful, or potentially so, not only because it is a deception, but also because it may lead to an even GREATer falling away, after the tribulation[s] begins. The destructive effect is at least four-fold: 

1) Those adhering to the belief will have the prideful expectation that they are ‘chosen’, or perhaps elite or special, and therefore, will come to no harm; they do not fear the Day of the Lord, because they are self-assured. Some may believe that they are ‘the first’—the ‘chosen’, but they may, in truth, be ‘the last’. This prideful righteousness is sinful, and foolish, and will likely condemn many. There seem to be many different denominations who claim to be the only ones, or the ‘last remnant’. “…two men say they’re Jesus—one of them must be wrong”. This elitism and prideful self-delusionment will capture many proponents into cultish denominations or faddish movements, and those will likely be temples of deception and destruction. Be warned and beware such elitism or claims of being the only chosen peoples…This will result in fewer receiving or regaining salvation, and/or a greater falling away.

2) Those adhering to the belief will be unprepared for the upcoming trials and persecutions. Being unprepared means that they will ignore the calls of the Awakened, or the present Awakening (which I exhort), many of whom have been led by the spirit to both repent, and to prepare. This will hasten their own demise. Specifically, there has been a growing awareness of, and preparation for, an end-time collapse of social, political, and/or financial stability in the world. This of course is envisioned to be followed by the institution of the one-world governmental system, including the one-world religious and financial systems. Those who feel it ‘in their gut’, or by the spirit, have begun to prepare for the nebulous event[s] by storing food, water, medicine, weapons, and even gold or silver (etc.), with which to survive or extend their capacity to resist the upcoming crises. It is my opinion that their urges or foreknowledge, or fears may be the result of a discernment or communications of God’s warnings, and may become the basis for a source of respite and comfort for those who do prepare. It may also contribute to a greater number of converts during the tribulations, for those who come in contact with these ‘preppers’, who can and will share aid and comfort with them. As a Christian, we are indeed mandated to feed the hungry, and clothe the naked (etc.). This is a mandated function which often goes unfulfilled in our current ‘churches’. It will take on a great importance in the trying times to come. I urge all of you to become acquainted with this ‘prepping’ idea, and begin stockpiling—obedient church organizations, too. More on this later, hopefully.

3) Believing themselves shielded from tribulations, they have become, and will become, even more disconnected from the events leading up to the tribulations—these include participation in the election (and appointments therefrom) of the same officials which will initiate and carry out those persecutions. They will likely care far less that the world is ‘going to Hell in a hand-basket’, if they perceive no real threat or harm will come to them; they will escape all harm. The disturbing rise of paramilitary police and ‘security’ forces in the USA, and the huge surveillance-state system does not seem to upset them; little do they realize that that force will soon be turned upon them, not upon the non-existent ‘terrorists’ as they have been duped into believing, and by reasoning have given up their liberties for ‘security’. They don’t seem to understand that being a ‘good’ or upstanding citizen is EXACTLY the criterion for persecutions. Woe be it to them; they are in for a real shock. Those who are awake and aware in these end times may be able to delay the onset, or decrease the severity, or mayhap even prevent [at least some of] the tyranny altogether, if they are actively seeking to replace potential tyrants with good, God-fearing leaders. One may come to understand that there is a ‘safe zone’ or region of the USA which will preserve and protect God’s people during those terrible times; this is suggested by several passages (dunno— that I recall, though none specifically come to mind)

4) Many will be upset, and even angry, that they are being pursued, persecuted, and that they are being killed. The persecutions will likely evolve in severity over time, but will eventually end up as executions, presumably on a large scale, by beheading. This is specifically mentioned as a method used in the Bible. (cite…). They may even curse God for their persecutions, and many will lose what little faith they have/had, creating an even GREATER falling away. Understand that the whole world was deceived with the false prophets’ doctrines of devils. The number of these defections from faith will no doubt swell the numbers of those who will then join up with the other deceived, in worshipping the antichrist. Miracles and signs and wonders will ensnare many ignorant, or  lukewarm ‘Christians’ who do not have a grasp of the prophecies, or any in-depth knowledge of the Gospel, and the specifics of the revelations; those who were comfortable with their Sunday ‘weekend-warrior Christianity’, and those who ‘worship’ merely out of tradition, or sociocultural expectancies, or who attend for purposes of  social networking. 

It is hard to believe that anyone with even a basic understanding of the prophecies would succumb to accepting the usurper (antichrist) in place of Christ. It is clearly stated that all will see his coming in the clouds, as he comes as a Lion, and that the believers will be swept up from the four corners to join him while the wrath and punishments get started for the unworthy (the trumpets). I’m pretty sure that will not be the entrance of the antichrist, because he will be revealed, and claim himself as God, in the temple (abomination of desolation). Unfortunately, there will be multitudes of ignorant and deceived, who will be fooled. Undoubtedly, the antichrist will already have a great popularity and following, as a political figure. There has been a disturbing trend of blind following the current President, and cult-like chantings and attributions/depictions showing him crowned or his head sporting a halo. I’m not ready to declare him as a prime possibility just yet though; I will wait on more conclusive evidence. There are, though, millions who must be preparing his way with such attributions. It may in fact be true. [dunno]. 

At any rate, expect that there will be betrayals of the true Christians by this population of unworthy souls, and much love will be lost (cite-pic). This will result in further persecutions of the true Church. Apparently, such people do not understand, or are totally ignorant of world history, and the history of the Church. Throughout history, since before the time of Yeshua, or Jesus, the Christ, both Israelites and Christians have been persecuted, hunted, and executed simply for their beliefs, or for not bowing down to the dictates of false religions or theocratic dogmatics and their idols. Recall the Roman games, and the ‘feeding’ of Christians to the lions, or their being hacked to death by gladiators. Understand the fate of the Apostles themselves; nearly all were jailed, murdered, or even beheaded. Recall the persecution of true believers, and those espousing the Bible, and the counter-reformation of the RCC (Roman Catholic Church)—masses, even multiple millions were persecuted, tortured, and even burned at the stake by that so-called ‘Christian’ church/state. Even to this day, and especially in this day, many somehow fail to realize that Christians are dying right NOW—being bombed, maimed, crucified, and even beheaded, all throughout the Middle -East and Africa (in predominantly ‘Muslim’ nations now radicalized by ‘jihadists’). Specific mention of the many persecutions and of the saints and martyrs of God is referenced throughout Biblical texts. Did these saints and martyrs escape persecution—NO. Will you?—NO.

Do any of the readers or viewers feel that they have special protections, or immunity, that God’s own saints and martyrs didn’t possess? If so, what is the basis for such an idea? It must be misconstrued from some passages, which may have been presented out-of-context, or were ‘cherry-picked’ to falsify a deception. On the contrary, there are many specific passages that show that the end-time peoples will experience the tribulation[s]: This I will leave to a more thorough and detailed debunking of the noxious and deceptive teaching of the ‘pre-trib’ doctrine. I hope to be able to show, clearly, and as cogently and precise as can be shown, that the doctrine is false. I have already, now, explicated the dangers and downfalls inherent to this poison of the mind and soul. The Sheeple, Herded by Wolves in Black Paramilitary Garb, and Suffering Effects of the Insanity Virus: Symptoms and Causes

There is a group of people who reside here in the USA who are suffering, needlessly, from the effects of the highly contagious Insanity Virus. This virus infects the hearts and minds of the populace via an aggressive propaganda campaign waged against our wills, across the span of more than a generation. It involves a brain-washing mixture of political correctness, pseudo-conservationism, sociocultural breakdown, and false intentions backed by seemingly proper and good reasoning. That is, 'they' use attitudes and principles with which almost nobody disagrees, or which we have been brainwashed to believe without question, in order to promulgate their agendas, with deceptive cover. For example, The Bundy saga.

Here we have a basis of pseudo-conservationism and the so-called 'green' revolution (and/or climate conspiracists) used as the reason for usurping both states' and the peoples' rights. They use a common method to destroy industry across the nation, this past generation: first, some obscure, so-called "endangered" species of owl, or  fish, or tortoise or whatever, is identified. Next, in order to 'protect' said organism, they first limit, then mandate removal or discontinuance of whatever industry or activity they wish to quash. Then, coincidentally, there is some usurping group or company that somehow gets a free reign over the land use, and the profits roll in. Again, coincidentally, the people who seem to actually benefit are related to, or associated with, the politicians and/or corporate interests of their contributors. Hmmm... can you say "corruption"? How many instances do you recall? Several, myself. Seems I remember the shutdown of the logging industry in the Northwest some years ago, because of an owl. Hmmm... Then theres the farming of fertile California fields and watershed limited because of a (goby?) little minnow. Hmmm...should we grow food or let a few minnows live that serve absolutely no purpose? Hmmm...

RE: the Bundy saga, The purpose for driving off long-established , rightful ranchers from so-called 'federal' land is two-fold: 1) eliminate beef production capacity and land use, effectively denying private property and production, and 2) establishing 'green' solar electricity capacity, which will be mandated for production and sales, replacing more efficient and more reliable alternatives that are currently used. The whole 'tortoise' thing is simply a smokescreen and a means to implement and control the scam. As the regime mandates closure of extant electrical generation, and makes their use unprofitable via regulations and intolerable taxation, we the people get screwed by the huge rise in rates that will be necessary after the 'green' energy turns out to be too expensive and even unreliable, in the long-run. Who profits? Hmmm...seems some communist-Chinese government corporation. Hmmm...I wonder how much $$ they pumped into certain politicians' campaign funds or wallets?
We speak, of course about Sen. Harry Reid [D NV] and his co-conspirators. These guys need to be gagged and gulagged.

Related Example: 'bama closing down our clean coal electricity, which currently makes up 50-60% of our USA total production and consumption. Some are/were new, and were clean, non-polluting plants. What do you suppose happens when our aging and ailing infrastructure loses 1/2 its capacity? Riight--rates will "necessarily skyrocket", according to ze Great Leader. If you are unaware of the scale of this conspiracy to rob and rape us Americans, you better get informed, sheeple. And the reasoning behind these aggressive campaigns is always supported by some near-universally accepted, or highly promoted concept like 'green', conservation, or even outright lies like 'global warming'. Who could be against such things? We are brainwashed to think that we all think the way we are being programmed to think by the propagandists; truth is we are actually smarter and less gullible than 'they' think we are. The Bundy saga proves this.

There is an old saying about defining insanity &/or stupidity; doing the same thing over and over, yet expecting different results. But here we go  again--Reid gets a propaganda campaign rolling in so-called news shows, in which he labels Bundy and his supporters as 'violent, domestic terrorists'. Ridiculous. From reports I have seen and read, the paramilitary jack-booted thugs brought in by BLM were the aggressors, and assaulted men, tazered people, pushed women, and elderly victims, while attempting to set up 'free speech' areas. He [Reid] gets on and spins a big LIE, expecting we will actually BELIEVE him? Hmmm..he sends BLM armed paramilitary goons aiming automatic rifles at civilian Americans during peaceful protests?--in order to usurp property based upon an insane tortoise-saving campaign (of which many actually were euthanized by the 'savior' agency setup) ? Sound familiar? Americans are not 'terrorists'. People who are supporting liberties and rights are not 'terrorists'. Conservatives, Libertarians, Independents, Christians, vets, etc are not 'terrorists'. The truth of the matter is that the TERRORISTS HAVE TAKEN OVER OUR GOVERNMENT...TIME TO TOSS 'EM ALL OUT!

 This Insanity going on today illustrates the excessive use of paramilitary by all the 'alphabet' agencies. Surely, people, this is a major crossing of the line. Waco, Ruby Ridge, and The Boston Marathon martial-law exercises were the modern precursors to the current symptoms of tyranny. The cause resides in Congress and corporate boards of companies which profit from the militarization of America. Time to vaccinate, and inoculate and eliminate these nasty purveyors of the toxic gubment virus...

I believe that if martial law was declared a majority of the police, military, or anyone else enforcing it would revolt and a civil war would start. Most if not all are not on best terms with the current government and may not follow orders. If the worst does happen i think it would be best to skip town with as much gold and silver as can be had and wait for things to blow over. In the past confiscations of gold and silver a majority made it out without getting taken. No reason to think we couldn't slip some out again.

@Playboy: That would seem a logical belief, based upon historical precedents. However, there are several assumptions that may be partially or wholly incorrect, as a basis for your conclusion:

1)[a] The military, police, and 'security' forces have been trained to acknowledge and target such 'terror' groups as Christians, gun owners, constitutionalists, libertarians, anyone who is anti-FED or anti-taxation, anti-NWO, and even anti-big government (etc) (see official training guides such as the MIAC Report and news from last few years [2008-2013; see: http://www.constitution.org/abus/le/miac-strategic-report.pdf
and much more-'google' it...]) The list of so-called-extremists includes people who 'hoard' gold and silver, or who espouse the idea that people need 'real' money, not fiat fed reserve notes.

[b] The military, police, and 'security' forces have been trained and psychologically habituated to target 'everyday' citizens, including the young, the elderly, and even women (including pregnant women); those not usually associated with combat ('google' article[s] regarding "no hesitation" targets, such as http://www.mrconservative.com/2013/02/5113-shocking-dhs-spends-2-million-on-no-hesitation-civilian-targets/ )

c] There has been a 'purge' of late (I'd say ~2009-present), within the military (many top generals down to non-com officers+) and security forces, nationwide. Those who did not pass muster in a litmus test re: killing and/or confiscating weapons/assets from citizens were either reassigned to crap duty/areas, or were fired, or asked to resign, simply demotivated or made to be disinclined to remain or reenlist. Look it up. This is not well publicized, but it has indeed occurred. In addition, there has been a concerted effort to recruit 'less-than-acceptable' personnel into leadership positions (those who will be in charge of the martial law enforcement). These such leaders will have certain personalities and character flaws which make them excellent enforcers of the inevitable, upcoming tyranny. We already know how Nazi/communist/'rebel' and/or tribal/religious leaders were and are able to carry out seemingly insane and horrendous acts in recent and not-so-far distant times. (eg., "I was simply following orders…"?). Recall that thousands, if not millions, were/are being killed or maimed by beheading, machete attacks, etc. right NOW, and in recent past in the middle east and Africa.

The military has already lowered their standards drastically, and one may not realize that they are able to enlist felons, those that have not even completed a marginal HS graduation level of education, and of course, non-citizens. They are proposing to include 'illegal' aliens (undocumented children of undocumented foreigner parents) under the DREAM program. Yes, it's true, I was surprised to learn this in the course of recent researches. Other domestic security forces and agencies have likely been purged of the good people, and refilled with less-than-optimal types, as well. It is well-documented that the police force[s] do not want anybody with 100 or better [this is the mean, or average] IQ score; those with higher intelligence ask too many questions, or will resist unconstitutional orders. (See also RE: TSA actively recruiting 'imperious' personnel  http://www.infowars.com/tsa-brags-about-creating-imperious-security-team/)

The result of the foregoing is that those who would likely question or refuse orders that are clearly unconstitutional, or even immoral, have been eliminated from the ranks, or are likely on their way out of the security forces that will engage citizens in a martial law scenario. A key factor in losing life, limb, liberty, and property, would you not agree?

2) The PRISM and other data gathering systems have been spying on all of us for many years; their data and algorithm analyses are meant to identify target individuals & groups from the population, and it is nearly certain that any gold or silver purchases made within the past decade or so could be filtered and identified, thus identifying those who own (and might transport) precious metals. This is the kind of stuff they are REALLY looking for--it's not really 'terrorists' they are looking for, based upon the criteria groups listed [see above]. Once identified as being a member of any said groups or categories, or as a 'hoarder', for example, [see above], you will be detained, and searched, and anything you have would be confiscated [probably would end up FEMA-camped].

3) Being a person of interest from the (nearly all-encompassing) lists, and the fact that 'they' can locate and track nearly anyone, anywhere, it is unlikely that one would be able to "skip town" or to hide, in this day and age. One would have to be immersed with the knowledge and capabilities that truly exist today, and in the security countermeasures and extremes one would have to go to, in order to evade security measures in place to prevent detection and detainment. This doesn't include the average American.

4) Under martial law, any entrance or egress into or from any area, or city, would be limited, via checkpoints or other barriers. Thus, it is unlikely one would be able to move assets from one place to another. Realistically, this could be done beforehand, and one's assets might be concealed and secured with some [high] level of preparations. Again, however, one must be TOTALLY sure that there are no extant records or traceable accounts of ANY such assets which might lead to their discovery. This means that one must have paid cash to a trusted individual who did not, would not, or will not report it to anyone, or that could not be traced via ANY electronic or paper trail, in any manner. Again, this leads us to the capabilities of the massive data-gathering 'security' agencies, and their multi-billion $$ processing centers, set up to cross-reference seemingly or overtly unrelated data points re: transactions, via powerful algorithms. As alluded to (above), this is one of the real, or main, purposes of their spy grid, not tracking 'terrorists'*

*'They' know who and where the so-called 'terrorists' are, because they fund and support them (now even openly admitted; see re: Al Quieda, Muslim Brotherhood, and Taliban--contracts openly with US gov., and news re: arming and financial support of said groups (see/'google' also re: Operation Gladio &/or Gladio B, etc.)

In the past, there were extremely limited means for the gov. to know and track your assets, and especially precious metals like gold and silver. This is not true of our current situation. In fact, there are indeed reporting requirements re: sales of same. (see http://www.silverbearcafe.com/private/12.12/sellgold.html for a fairly concise article delineating the current reporting rules). Currently, not ALL sales, and smaller transactions, are generally exempted. However, despite claims that not all sales are reportable, there remain reporting requirements for profits, regardless of the source or what is bought/sold (IRS). One must realize that all transactions likely involve profit, so, in effect, SOMEONE is/has/will report any profit, either buying or selling. This COULD be a data point of interest to TPTB (the powers that be), and one which might converge with other data points, upon any particular person or corporate entity. For example, Bob's Coin Shop reports a profit selling $500.00 worth of silver to 'Joe Blow'; This data point links the two, and Joe's records could then be searched to show a withdrawal of $500 from his bank, or via credit card transaction, and so on, (etc). Consider that multiple sources can now be collated and converged to paint an extended picture of any such transaction; phone records and conversations, emails, bank and credit transactions, and so on…

This is the TRUE danger and one of the true reasons behind the massive data gathering that has been undergone, and is ongoing, by our gubment agencies. They can, and they will, use it for purposes that are unstated (and they always say everything is for our safety and security--aren't they sweet?), such as identifying the 'extremist Christians, Libertarians, pro-lifers, anti-big governmenters, and even 'real money' advocates who would likely have some [real money]. They ('banksters' & globalist 'elites') mean to destroy the middle class and confiscate all wealth and resources not currently pilfered.

The confiscatory nature of TPTB are quite evident to anyone, given one peruse and recognize the trends in laws and edicts spewed forth from our current dictator and his congressional minions. Note that 'they' already passed transaction reporting requirements as low as $600.00 (especially aimed at gold/silver/bullion sales) in their proposed 1099 addendum to the Healthcare Act [yeah, and health care has WHAT to do with this?]. This was discovered and repealed, fortunately. However, one must recognize by this attempt that it is their INTENT to quash free trade of real money and assets, or at least for such to be made reportable. You describe a situation in which martial law is declared. Given the above, do you still believe that you can simply skip town and hide out for a while with your assets? If the gubment doesn't get you/it, will the hoards or starving masses, or rogue groups of looters miss you too? Will you be able to 'beat' the security grid that has already been established, or the checkpoints, electronic and satellite tracking, and/or drone surveillance? The telephone, email, and 'smart' grid system monitoring you inside your own home--the x-boxes, cable boxes, smart tvs/cameras/appliances or on your own computer? Man, I wish you luck in that. 

In conclusion, your beliefs are not based upon the new reality of the surveillance state we have let become established, and the sick bustards that run the show, on many levels… the system is rigged against us, in so many ways that are not even included herein. Prepping to Fail (Part 2): FOOD

In Part 1, we examined the (probable) initial effects of a global crisis  which rendered our fiat 'money' worthless. Without further explication, the situation was predicted to result in need of such basic necessities as FOOD, because of hoarding, looting, etc. In this case, failing to prepare is prepping to FAIL, and the result is certainly not desirable--and may prove to be disaster. In this post, we will explore preparations for stocking up enough foodstuffs to survive the initial effects of the predicted crisis. At this point in time, many are aware of the necessities presented, but perhaps have not yet begun to act upon 'the push' they have discerned; now is the time to act.

"(B) Stock up on the necessities; being prepared for the fail:

1) Food 

Personal recommendation: Three (3) months supply of staples, per person, minimum. First off, one must come to realize that during the crisis-to-be, food that we eat will be used simply to sustain; it is not a matter of what one wants, but rather what one needs, so keep it simple. Storing munchies and junk food is a waste of time, resources, and space. Also keep in mind that one will not be able to run to the corner store to grab a gallon of milk and/or bread, etc. Think STAPLES, and especially those that can be stored for an extended period. As alluded to in the previous post, it was not explicitly predicted that one would lose power to refrigerate, but in preparing for the fail, let's assume it may come to this (though perhaps not initially).

Another important facet of stocking up on necessities is that eating patterns--what one eats, and when--will be different than those currently established. Keep in mind that it doesn't take that much intake to simply maintain the body's metabolic functions; the ultimate goal of minimalism and survival. Plan on two meals/day/person, or perhaps a CC breakfast (coffee and cigarettes) and only one main meal. It's not about taste, and it's not about schedules; eat as little as you can, and only when you have to--when you FEEL hungry in the gut. Also keep in mind that proteins and fats not only fill and satisfy, but also keep the hunger at bay longer than starches/carbs. On the other hand, starchy staples like rice, potatoes, etc., are relatively cheap, and are often easily stored, or come in storable form (eg., boxed mashed potatoes, au gratins, etc.). Plan on combining starches, proteins, and fats as much as possible to maintain health and energy for the long term. 

So, what will we be eating? Cost-effectiveness and storage capacity will be main factors. Most likely meals will be predominantly [starchy] food staples like pastas and/or rice, as well as beans and soups. If one has experienced self-sustaining in early adulthood, or in college, be ready to 'rinse and repeat' the austerity and simplicity (lol). If it doesn't come in a can, box, jar, or bag, it probably won't store, and therefore, you won't  be eating it, for long. In the near future, I will test-sample a month (or more) of meals prepared as presented herein, itemizing meal costs and storage parameters, as well as palatability, nutrition, etc., for those interested...

Note: Many things can be prepared on a stovetop, in one pan, whereas others will require an oven or microwave. In the eventuality that electricity fails, consider alternatives like LP gas-powered burners, wood, or charcoal grilling/smoking, and stock up on fuels[s], accordingly. At this stage, we are assuming utilities are intact, for purposes of cooking. However, the majority of meals described will (or can) be prepared on stovetop or grill, considering the eventuality of losing basic services. Later, more complex strategies will be explored which entail even more basic survival techniques. Hopefully, these will not be needed ("hope in one hand, and shit in the other, and see which fills up first"). Keep in mind that many foods can be eaten out-of-box or can, and many can be stored (opened) for a relatively long time.

STAPLES:

Try to acquire large bags of beans and rice (50-100# each) at a local grocery store. Smaller bags of different (similar) types of dry goods, such as lentils or peas, can add variety and nutrition value. These can be split up into smaller bags and/or containers, as needed, for storage, and/or mixing and dividing them for individual days/weeks/months. Seasonings and such will be a plus, so stock up on whatever you prefer (a small amount of canned or processed meat and some spices will improve palatability and vary nutrition). Pastas like noodles and macaroni, and 'ramen' are cheap to buy and easy to store, as are sauces that one might wish to use with them. Bouillon (chicken/beef/veggie) comes in powder or cube form, and can be stored for use as a seasoning for beans, rice and pastas, as well as preparing powdered potatoes, mixes, etc.

The aforementioned will often require potable water to prepare, and a heat source. As suggested in the prior post, it was assumed that these services would be available, at least in the short term [However, things may deteriorate more rapidly than expected, so back ups should be considered: water storage and purification processes, and alternative cooking sources such as 'Coleman-type' stoves, and/or propane burners, or wood for grills/fireplaces].

BASIC FOODSTUFFS & SUPPLIES

a) Canned goods: 

Beans (any/all kinds, esp. flavored ones like 'Ranch-style', etc) , soups, veggies, sauces (tomato and pasta/spaghetti sauces), tomatoes, chili (w/ beans and w/o), meats (chicken, turkey, ham, bacon bits, jerky, etc.), stews, and fish (tuna, salmon, [mackerel, sardines?--yuk]), canned milk, fruits, and juices, pasta-type meals (spaghetti-Os, etc), freeze-dried or canned cheese powder (may substitute macaroni cheese pouches from store-bought packages), and flavored meat alternatives or TVP. Canned nuts, peanut butter, and the like will provide a good source of fats and protein, and good nutrition (and taste good too! woot!).

b) Mylar-packed or boxed/bagged goods (other non-perishables, or extended storage foods):

Beans, rice, lentils, peas, and mixes of same (eg., 15-or multi-bean soups, etc), biscuits and bread (incl. muffins) and/or pancake mixes, pastas (incl. mac-n-cheese), mashed or otherwise potato sides (eg., au gratin, etc.), gravies, crackers, cookies, and snack mixes, cereals, oatmeal or 'malto-meal-like' foods, dried fruit (raisins, etc.), soup and flavorings, assorted bouillon flavors, meal-in-a box or can, such as some 'chinese' foods and pasta meals, powdered dry milk and eggs (whole = better), flour, sugar, salt, pepper, and seasonings/spices, and multi-vitamins/supplements

c) Jars, bottles, etc:

Pickles and pickled items (eg., jalepenos or even eggs), mustard, ketchup, onion &/or garlic, olive/veg. oil/canned lard or shortening, juices, and canned or bottled beer/wine/alcohol*, and water. Vinegar can be used to clean, as well as purify and preserve foods, so this might be considered a staple. Jarred honey will keep indefinitely, and can be utilized to sweeten, if one runs out of sugar. Coffee and tea, as well as artificial creamer would be a necessity for me, personally. I start each day consuming a good portion of a pot, and I generally use artificial sweetener and creamer. During my 'test', I will discover exactly how much is needed for a month; it might turn out that freeze-dried might be the only real alternative, given the bulk, for long-term considerations...we shall see. 

*Note: Lots of alcohol; this was used on extended voyages to the 'New World' on sailing ships in days of old--it has calories, won't go bad, and might help keep 'spirits' up (pun intended). To get the most bang for a buck, grain alcohol and clear distillates like vodka are cheap and available by the gallon. These also double as antiseptics in a first-aid kit you should consider a necessity. It will be of utmost value in bartering with others for anything you run out of, as well. Think about it...

d) Frozen and/or freeze-dried foods: 

If one has a freezer available, stocking up on meats, sausages, etc would be good for short-to-mid-term storage. however, one might be foiled by potential power outages of any length. I will discourage reliance on this possibility (how's that hand filling up?). Freeze-dried foods re relatively expensive unless they are extant in your local market, not aimed at the 'survivalist' market. However, one might be surprised at the variety of such items that are already available locally. Things like dried cheeses, eggs, etc., may only be available on some internet sites aimed at this population, and will often be overpriced, by comparison. Shop around and avoid these as much as possible.

Arguably, one can survive on as little as 500 calories/day for months, and perhaps years, if need be. I personally have done so, in past, and the result after more than a month was simply weight loss (~25 lbs)--something nearly all can appreciate. The diet I engineered was pretty simple, and basic, yet I was able to eat all I wanted of the foods prepared and was never feeling hungry or wanting. It did not include much meat except chicken/turkey breast (available canned, as it relates here). As to health issues, I am unsure, long-term. I recommend one stock up some multivitamins and/or supplements, just in case.

I'm fairly certain that the listing of items above is incomplete, and will undergo some modifications. Please recommend anything not listed or considered via comments (keeping in mind the parameters herein are limited to initial phases of food shortage). However, the true test will be planning, preparing, and consuming a trial month's worth of meals, which I am prepared to do, beginning soon. Many of these items I already have stocked in my pantry, and so I might go ahead and try a minimalist approach with readily available stocks, without getting fancy and/or ordering some of the items mentioned. I plan on documenting what I eat and how it was prepared, and perhaps a nutrition count, ongoing, maybe as a day-by-day diary. 

Keep in mind that one will have less waste if this was accomplished as a team effort, not soloing it as I will describe. There is strength in numbers, and it would be more efficient to make larger meals for more people at one time. Given the gravity of the 'event' to come, it is highly recommended that one join with friends and/or relatives in a more communal setting, when/if this is to come to pass. Joint planning and preparation is also advisable. More on this later...

Prepping to Fail (Part 1)

The tyme has come to start preparations for the upcoming (major) fail. I'm talking serious beer here; the doom and gloom and the feces-fan convergence. Whereas some might conclude that there is the [slight] chance that a total failure in world and US economies can be averted, or even stalled, I resign to inevitable defeat, preemptively and unilaterally. we FAIL. Let's just admit it and get prepped for the inevitable (get real, mon).

So, (A) what does one need to get prepped for, and (B) how does one go about said preparations?

(A) The feces-fan convergence (FFC, or shit-hits-the-fan [SHTF]): entails a global economic failure and likely, a world-wide depression, along with severe hyperinflation in traditional fiat currencies. This means, simply, 'money' aint gonna be worth doodly-squat. Given that everyone of modest or minimal means (90% of the pop+) will rapidly run out of funds to buy necessities, there will be civil unrest, rioting, and probably looting in nearly all population centers. I'm not talking about a mass of idiots camping in parks with no real agenda, or some nebulous socialist crap--I'm talking about people who are actually hungry and can no longer afford to meet the most minimal of needs (eg., food)--Riots that make those in Greece and London look like a slumber party pillow fight between sorority girls. It won't be pretty.

Considering many folks out there are living hand-to-mouth already, the urban poor are likely the first to begin the spree, looting, trashing and burning their own neighborhoods first. But it will spread. Thus, it will likely be low-class area shops and supermarkets that get cleaned out first, leaving one with limited options to provide for oneself and one's family (hence, spreading). Hoarding of essentials will quickly clean out current stocks of bare necessities, in other areas. Martial law will become prevalent. However, soon enough there will be no more food available, and no shops open. Meanwhile, prices will ceiling for whatever is available, making things unattainable even for those of modest or greater means. Government foodstuffs passed out by troops, and soup lines, may soon become the only real sources of food. Access to such services and supplies will be restricted.

Given 'money' worth squat, and urban riots cleaning out stocks, the search for food and supplies will progress to groups of looters beginning house-to-house searches for their needs. Public servants will already be exhausted, and the public will be left to fend for themselves, for the most part (martial law, curfews, and National Guard troops notwithstanding). Medicines and healthcare provisions will start to run out, or become unavailable. Gub'ment will take over essential services and communication, likely with cell phone and internet disruptions for the general public. However, at first, I do not see losing utilities such as electricity and natural gas, and probably landline telephone, as a consequence. These may persist for quite some time.

The foregoing will occur very quickly. This means that one must have a plan and preparations ongoing, to satisfy the most basic of needs: food. Given that most households probably have a week or more of edibles on hand, food riots and looting will probably be unlikely for a couple weeks, but hoarding will begin immediately following whatever crisis begets the scenario described. Either way, if one hasn't prepped by stocking up a generous supply of foodstuffs and especially non-perishables, one is going to be 'up-the-creek'. Also, given that 'money' will not be used, one thing that is sure to have value is food, and it might surprise you what people will exchange for it, if they have failed to prepare. Hence, before any other mode of barter or exchange is adopted, anywhere, food will be the most valued commodity, at least in population centers, and in 'developed' countries where we are all dependent upon our "fat" way of life (consumers in non-agricultural, urban environs).

This may differ considerably in undeveloped or developing economies, and/or rural areas, who may escape, avoid, or delay some of the worst of these consequences. Yes, the last will be first, and vice-versa, go figure (only prophesied for a couple millennia+).

Yeah, if I were a rich man, DoDoDoDeDoDeDumm! WTF? I am not, and frankly, haven't ever wanted to be, a rich man. The truth is, I never cared for the concept; fretting about finances and such--too much w-o-r-k. Being a C.A.B. (see elsewhere on blog) has sufficed, and I never went hungry, just making do. That said, however, I do respect those who work hard to attain financial enlightenment and independence--I really do. Usually it takes years of work and planning, compounding interest, etc...

What pisses me off is the inevitable rich man-poor man BULLSHIT that keeps surfacing whenever there's a Dumocrat commenting about gub'ment financing the debt, etc. Man, if it's not race, it's class warfare for those idiots. Why do they have to always pit Americans against one another, and play that divisive shit? Truth is, those Ds have virtually enslaved the whole population of America with that crap; one group dependent on entitlements and gub'ment giveaways, and the other made guilty for not needing it, and slooowly bled. It's inevitable that Ds will totally crash the economy into the toilet if they start amping up the tax code to squeeze [even] more from the 'haves', so they can redistribute to the 'have-nots'. Yes, it seems that the Ds are really socialist/Marxists--who the fuck doesn't know that that system JUST DOESN'T WORK, HAS NEVER WORKED, AND WILL NEVER WORK? It's a system that defies the human need for freedom, independence, and continual striving for improvement. Some are guilt-ridden liberals who are indeed well-to-do, or comfortable, and perhaps have a masochistic need to punish themselves for not being unfortunate--poor--themselves. I dunno; maybe some are just plain stoopid. It takes all kinds...

Ill-educated, and/or simply naive, people who get suckered into the class-war BS may think that people are somehow entitled to a free [eg.,] lunch and such, perhaps because they might think the 'rich man' is somehow keeping them down. Maybe it's just human nature to want shit for "free", but, one must realize that it's not the 'gub-ment' that's footing the bill, it's from somebody else's pocket! Politicians have suckered people into little dependencies and programs voters think are "free", only to stay in power and maintain control over these weak-minded fools. The worst part of it all is that many, if not most, people feeding at the trough really don't actually need many of these freebees! But they DO add up--think 43 MILLION+ on food stamps alone! Medicare/-caid is likely the biggest cash-burner, though. Once secured into the system, it's a free-for-all for the Med-Pharma-Insurance Complex to greedily suck off the tit (In reality, sucking off wealth from nearly all Americans)--and the costs NEVER go down--only up-up-up! These are HUGE sums, on a per capita basis, given the sheer numbers who qualify. Few people had put in as much as they're getting out, especially given their longevity, the high costs of meds/testing/treatment, and the burgeoning 'baby boomer' population that is sure to overcome the system--soon! However, once on a program, it's hard to get off--to push away from the table--kind of like addiction[s]. Meanwhile, the gub-ment goes on spending, borrowing and spending, till the day of reckoning... 

If the giveaways were cut, terminated, or managed efficiently, maybe the wealth redistribution might be allayed, and those poor devils [us] footing the bill might even have enough capital left to invest in American businesses/manufacturing/jobs! ('course, right now, with the volatility, they might just hang on to any surpluses. Good--people need to save more...) Who is on the govern-tit? Damned near everybody--low-to-middle classes. Even some rich and powerful people and corporations are feeding, via subsidies and tax-breaks. Some are lazy people, the ones who might think hard work simply means getting paid less for doing more. Some were borne into poverty, but had neither the smarts nor the gumption to improve on their situation. Some don't deserve shit--but get it anyways.


Given, it's not just the Ds who got us here; Rs sheep along too, for whatever reason[s]. The simple fact is that we are not getting out of the abyss by taxing anyone more, especially those in a position to expand the economy and employ more people [OMG, who would even THINK of doing that?].

The truth is that the gub'ment needs to balance the budget, make it mandatory to do so, and cap spending across the board. Weed out stoopid programs that don't show measurable results. Start operating like a business, per se. Means testing should be implemented as well; we don't need to give Food Stamps to 43+Million people, now, do we, REALLY? Or free lunches and after-school programs to damned near anyone? No more spending $$ we don't have! I'm not suggesting we stop helping one another, but let's get real. We broke-ass bitches, as a nation. Simply STOP spending $$ we don't have. Simple as that. Problem solved.

To those that are inclined to redistribute their wealth, and, to help free them from guilt, I say set up a donation program [hey, even online, through PayPal?]. You folks who feel you must give away your monies simply give till it hurts, if need be. Yup. These financial times are pretty ominous. Stock markets crashing, gold fever bugs crawling everywheres, and a plethora (myriad?) of complete idiots doing absolutely nothing about it. Its like "Surprise! years of foolish spending and debts have [dum-dum-dum] consequences!". I am amazed. Not.

So, what does this mean to the average 'Joe [or Jane] Poor' (not to be confused with Standard & Poors). I'm talkin 'bout those without thousands in savings and/or IRAs, or disposable income, etc--the average poor bastard, living the austere life?

Well, first off, there's the insidious inflation effect on everything to subsist upon--you know, frivolous things like groceries and gas (which are 'disallowed' in the new government figurings, as a means to measure inflation [go figure! WTF?]). Buying power of the Dolla is rapidly shrinking due to QE, and resultant loss of confidence in the US, world-wide. One must generally do with less--a belt-tightening, if you will.

Next, decreasing services and entitlements. Yes, the Post Office is going broke, and you WILL be paying more for luxury items like health care and medications, as well as stamps (do people actually use the mail system, or is it totally a business-thing-only? really? If you use this system, just ¡Stop it!). The 43+ million people sucking off the governtit may have to start eating hamburger helper and buying generics in the supermarkets, as food stamps, free lunches and after school baby-sitting programs might be cut back. Wait...I thought there was no such thing as a free lunch <sigh>. What will we do? Hmmm... just what did people DO before these programs started redistributing wealth--uh, I mean...

For sure, there must be huge cutbacks in defense spending, and bailouts of european countries, [our] banks, etc, will have to cease. Whadyamean uhn-uh? Global policing and/or imperialism will be curtailed. Wait a minute. So, how does this affect Joe again?

There will be a paper shortage, likely from the excessive quantity of phony bills coming off the presses back in the so-called 'Treasury' Dept. We might be paying more for our TP, as a direct result! Frightening. Simply horrible. Whatever happened to the so-called 'paperless office', BTW?

There will be huge job losses and our manufacturing base will disappear. Wait! Wadyamean that already happened? Shit--how insidious! People will be on unemployment for two years or more, or for as long as they extend it. Who pays for this stuff, anyways? Shit less, cuz there's that paper-shortage thing again...

Politicians will blame it all on anyone and anything but themselves, but end up kicking the can to the next generation, so, what the hell? I blame us, for letting them do this shit, leaving Joe Poor even mo' po'. Even if we default, devalue, get further downgraded, or whatever, there will be paper flying everywhere for as long as [stupid] people accept it as payment.

The gist of it is, Joe Poor will have to get by on even less. But there is a limit to how long this continues, and the survival mode kicks in. That IS scary. Surprise! Soon, Mr Po will be rioting and looting like it's London or something; coming SOON to a large city near you...
