We are...Are we...One?

Both the recent and remote past--things that have occurred, and people with which I have become involved--have begun to intimate to me the philosophical, and perhaps metaphysical or paranormal connection[s] which I am beginning to perceive with increasing clarity. Not that I haven't perceived and/or conceptually pondered such things, in past; perhaps now, more than ever, a timely increase in awareness? "To Wtf am I referring?", one might ask. I 'speak' of a seemingly nebulous, yet powerfully strong connection that we apparently have to one another, and perhaps to all living things. Are we really 'One', attuned or tunable to each other, and/or to some shared 'matrix' of an exogenous consciousness--and is this shared 'something' a some 'one'--The 'One'? God?

Philosophical, indeed. Credible? Perhaps. What prompts me to even begin to contemplate such things, seemingly irrelevant to the banality of everyday existence and 'reality', as we perceive it? I'm not sure. I do feel compelled, for whatever reason, to explore this, and do so in a manner which facilitates discourse--a 'reaching out', if you will. Bear with me. Also, my apologies for what is to come; I have no idea where this is leading...

It seems that there is some commonality which is imbued within each of us, across all barriers, regardless of culture, background, race, gender, creed, and/or religion/spiritual leanings. 'It' is a truth ('the' Truth?); and we all somehow share it, sometimes acknowledge it, and, at times, may even search for it. But it is always there, usually just beyond conscious comprehension. It can be accessed, though, at certain times, or under certain conditions, by all. Perhaps training or multiple exposures can make it more readily accessible or easier to access--to 'feel' its presence? Simple words cannot describe 'it'. Pictures pale in depicting 'it'; it is symbolic, archetypical, and somehow beyond elemental in nature. Immutable yet ethereal. We learn things about it, ourselves, and others through the brief periods when we access it (or recognize it), or perhaps via the process. We find comfort, peace, companionship, and solace in it, even though our form may be weary, conflicted, in discomfort, and even, existentially alone. We learn from it, of it, by it, about it and ourselves, and more. Sometimes we deny or ignore it, selfishly grasping at the natural world and our pathetic 'realities' that it transcends. But we 'know' it. All of us. If I were able to translate this into every known language and dialect, I think everyone could read this, and understand, and agree. It is what we have in commonality. It is a gift; free without taking or asking, but infinitely priceless, yet unable to be captured, or sold, or owned. We all have it, yet give it away, and receive it; sometimes freely, sometimes with hesitation, often accidently--but never forcibly.
It is love...

BUT...It is more than that. It is a force for 'Good'; a motivator of actions which are true, just, and right. It compels us to altruism, despite our selfish instincts. It constrains both the evil and the unrighteous impulse; driving us to be and do all that we can. It imbues us with strength and power, when our resources have waned, no more to withstand. It shows us the righteousness of fidelity; of patience and long-suffering. It provides a boundary for choices--it is our guide. It warns and protects us from ourselves and others. It heals the pain of living and loss, replacing it with joy. It comforts us, in times of sorrow. It carries our burdens, freely, if we allow. It overflows with grace and beauty; It shines a light unto our world, illuminating the vastness and depth of virtue held therein.
Is it?...It is God.

It is a presence which transcends, yet  affects both the material and spiritual dimensions, yet cannot be held or imprisoned. Ever-present and immutable; beyond the limitations of space and tyme. A thing of wonder, and power, and glory, to be held in awe, for we are so finite. Yet, it abides us, despite our shortcomings. It sustains our souls--inspires and guides us.

To recognize and/or to acknowledge it as real is insufficient; like admitting that 'air' is indeed something more than an intangible. It is separate, yet within all. Both the beginning and end; infinite. The Creator--the Source. Yet to embrace it, and to gain all that is to be, one must simply surrender unto it. It is Love; It is God--God is Love.
