This practice was corrupted by captivities &/or occupation and MANDATES of Roman rule. Eventually Hillel II officially changed 'Jewish' tradition to abandon the Creator's system, adopting a 'continuous cycle' based upon the RCC (Roman-Catholic 'church') gregorian calendar ...

So, if one is trying to follow or honor scripturally-supported Feasts &/or Sabbaths, but are using any reference or 'mapping' onto the various other [pagan] systems adopted by modern 'religions' (especially the  Judaic & Catholic), it is mixing Pagan with 'holy', and good with bad...
