Ahh...A New Year Begins

Out with the old, and in with the new! What a way to think of the new year-to-be. For some, this could be a cleansing move; toss out the old, the sick, and the familiar--simply move on, without any need for justification, or reason. Change for the sake of change? For others, a thoughtful and reflective 'dump' of the past year's Bullshit. That is, after thoughtful consideration, sifting through memories of (now) unimportant people and events, and moving them into the 'round file', and learning from the mistakes with which we became aware.

In retrospect, I can't say that '10 was very memorable. Banality was the banner. Progress was slooooww. Not exactly a great year, in terms of goal-directed behaviors. Stagnation with decay minimization, at best. A few positive moments, people, and events; Not a bad year, but not a good year. I spit it from my mouth for being tepid. A relief to start anew...

As I begin recovery from the (seemingly endless) sickness which befell me late last year, I look forward to the dawn of a new year; another chance to get things moving in the right direction. With my round file filled, and now emptied, I can 'move on'. Lol.

I can look forward to better health, in general, due mostly to ridding myself of some major decay. OK, I may have some permanent hearing loss from an ear infection, but wth? I still have my vision. Sound is overrated...
Freed from previous outside distractions, I will likely get my place in better order. Lots to do there. Don't know how I let things stagnate here for so long. Must...Prioritize...
Hopefully, with my Bro joining us in Podunk, I will be engaging in more social and/or family interaction[s].
Clearing out and paring down will continue; less is more.
My cup is still 'half-full'.
The new year brings fresh promise of new, and better, things to come.
